Communities are facing growing climate pressures, making collective adaptation efforts more important than ever. But how can we inspire and mobilize our communities to take action? A key element to any successful adaptation solution is how we frame and communicate it — moving community members from simply being informed to actively participating in solutions.
In this session, a panel of communication experts will share insights from their field on how to better connect with people and convey impactful messages. This discussion will feature Greg Jacobs, who co-directed The Here Now Project, Pearl Marvell from Yale Climate Connections, and Zoya Terstein from Grist. Together, they will explore effective storytelling and communication strategies that foster and advance local climate action.
