The Students of Umberto Primo

.

Under Nazi occupation, 96% of the Jewish population in Thessaloniki was sent to Auschwitz. Follow previously untold stories of Jewish students attending the Italian school, Umberto Primo, who must put their hopes and dreams on hold and focus only on their survival. The film captures the stories and ultimate fates of 9 of these teenagers, while also telling the story of the Holocaust in Greece. It is based on previously undiscovered archival material found by an Italian professor and the testimonies of surviving protagonists.
This is THE Holocaust movie for the teenagers of the 21st century, a movie that speaks directly to the young and generally uninformed generations of today.
