The Ceremony

.

The most famous dominatrix in France creates sadomasochist “Ceremonies” in her chateau.
Catherine Robbe-Grillet, age 84, writes sadomasochistic novels under pseudonym Jeanne De Berg. Catherine defies the relations between power and submission, sensuality and physical pain. She surrounds herself with brilliant characters, depicting complex lives on the other side of social conventional boundaries. This film forces us to question our assumptions regarding satisfaction, desire and normality.
